Carole A Berk, Ltd opened its gallery doors in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1987. We spent the next 15 years showing the best and most unique English ceramics, glass, Mexican Silver and other fanciful and important items from the 20th century. We participated in many of the MODERNISM shows across the US. They included Modernism at the Park Ave. Armory as well as those in Miami, Winnetka,Ill., LA and Detroit. I traveled to many places and gave talks on Clarice Cliff pottery. I traveled to England to add to my constantly changing inventory of Clarice Cliff, Keith Murray, and Charlotte Rhead. I collaborated on the book Mexican Silver which was published in 1994 and is now in its 4th printing.  I had an online presence as well.

I closed the Gallery in 2001 and went exclusively to my virtual online gallery. We still focus on 20th century decorative art but in a different way.

The online gallery specializes primarily in Mexican Silver, circa 1930-70′s. We feature jewelry and hollow ware by Mexican Silver designers William Spratling, Hector Aguilar, Antonio Pineda, Los Castillo, Margot de Taxco and others.

We have recently added a new collection: Couture Jewelry, c1970 –up to the present

We showcase jewelry by Givenchy, YSL, Lagerfeld, Chanel, Trifari, Monet, Napier, Ann Klein and others. We also offer wonderful unsigned pieces.

Another collection is vintage handbags by various designers as well as beautiful unsigned skin bags from days gone by. We like funky as well as formal. And we have some of both.
